Detroit Medical Center CEO Tony Tedeschi, M.D.
Dr. Tedeschi is a senior-level physician executive with over 20 years of operational and clinical leadership spanning the spectrum of healthcare. He joined DMC as CEO in 2017, after serving as CEO of Weiss Memorial Hospital in Chicago. Prior to his position at Weiss, he was Chief Medical Officer for the Vanguard Health Systems (now Tenet Healthcare) Chicago Market. He served in both roles until January of 2015, when he was appointed CEO of the Chicago Market while continuing as CEO of Weiss. Previously, Dr. Tedeschi was Chief Operating Officer for Cook County Health & Hospitals System, the nation’s third largest public health system.
A board-certified family practice physician, Dr. Tedeschi holds a medical degree from the University of Illinois Chicago and master’s degrees in Business Administration from Northwestern University and in Public Health from the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. Dr. Tedeschi is a Clinical Instructor at the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. He has held volunteer leadership roles for youth sports programs and schools in his community as well as with outreach healthcare organizations working in developing countries.
Reginald J. Eadie, M.D.
Regional Chief Operating Officer
Reginald Eadie, M.D., MBA serves as Regional Chief Operating Officer of the Detroit Medical Center (DMC) . Dr. Eadie has established a distinguished and successful track record of hospital administration leadership at the DMC. He joined the DMC in April 2008 as Vice President of Medical Affairs (VPMA) at DMC Harper University Hospital and DMC Hutzel Women's Hospital. In July 2010, Dr. Eadie was appointed as President of DMC Detroit Receiving Hospital. In 2012, Dr. Eadie was named President of DMC Sinai-Grace Hospital. In 2013, Dr. Eadie was appointed CEO of DMC Harper University Hospital and DMC Hutzel Women's Hospital. And, in 2015, his role was expanded when he was appointed CEO of DMC Detroit Receiving Hospital. Prior to joining DMC, Dr. Eadie served as Emergency Department Chief and Associate Chief of Staff of Integrated Clinical Services at the John D. Dingell VA Medical Center in Detroit.
In all of his administrative roles, Dr. Eadie has successfully managed the complexities of the medical staff; effectively decreased length of stay; improved physician relationships; balanced and generated surplus budgets; and, implemented actions resulting in improved quality measures - all of which have positively impacted the DMC's bottom line.
For the past 20 years, Dr. Eadie has dedicated his time and research to educating the metropolitan community on the devastating effects of obesity. He is the author of two books on the subject: "How to Eat & Live Longer" and "Eating from the Tree of Life." Both publications have garnered him the respect of his fellow medical colleagues and the community.
In addition to writing about healthy eating, Dr. Eadie foundered the DMC 61 Day Health Challenge. The 61 Day Challenge is a health education program that includes: fitness, nutrition, health education and commitment. It's an annual, 61-day focus on healthy lifestyle management. Participants in the challenge are strongly encouraged to adhere to and manage the health challenge. Through this program, hundreds of metropolitan Detroiters are leading healthier lives well beyond the 61-days. Eadie has created tremendous support for the program from community, political, educational and business entities.
Dr. Eadie is a graduate of Wayne State University (WSU) School of Medicine and completed his Emergency Medicine Residency at WSU/Detroit Receiving Hospital in 1998. He is a diplomat of the American board of Emergency Medicine, a member of the American College of Health Care Executives, and a graduate of DMC Leadership Academy and Leadership Detroit.
Chief Financial OfficerVictor Jordan
was named Chief Financial Officer of Detroit Medical Center in January 2013. Jordan came from Vanguard Health Systems New England region, where he served as CFO. Upon joining Vanguard in 2001 as Regional CFO of the Orange County Market, Jordan was responsible for the financial oversight of three hospitals and two surgery centers including Revenue Cycle Operations. He was responsible for oversight and negotiation of several managed-care full risk contracts and worked closely with hospital leadership improving financial operations and results. From 2005 to 2012, he was the CFO of Vanguard's New England market, where he was accountable for financial oversight and direction of the $600 million revenue system. Jordan contributed to this effort by leading managed care contracting negotiations with area payers, overseeing revenue cycle initiatives in the areas of clinical documentation improvement and initiating second level review programs for medical necessity. From 2007 to 2011, Jordan was given additional responsibility for CFO oversight of Vanguard's Chicago market which included assimilating two hospitals acquired in 2010. Prior to joining Vanguard Health Systems, Jordan was Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Methodist Network Hospitals, Houston, TX from 1999 to 2001, where he was responsible for the financial operations of two Methodist suburban hospitals and involved in planning and development of new area hospitals. From 1997 to 1999, Jordan served as CFO of Houston Northwest Medical Center. Jordan earned B.S. and M.B.A degrees from the University of California.
Conrad L. Mallett, Jr.

is DMC’s Chief Administration Officer. Prior to this position, Mallett was President of Sinai-Grace Hospital since 2003. Mallett joined the DMC in 1999 as senior vice president, chief administrative officer and general counsel. Previously, he was president and general counsel of Hawkins Food Group for one year before returning to the DMC as executive vice president and chief administrative officer. Mallett is a former justice and Chief Justice for the Michigan Supreme Court. He earned his master’s degree in business administration from Oakland University, a law degree and master's in public administration from the University of Southern California, and a bachelor’s degree from the University of California – Los Angeles.
Suzanne White, MD, MBA, FACEP, FACMT
Executive Vice President, Chief Medical OfficerSuzanne White, MD, MBA, FACEP, FACMT
serves as the Executive Vice President and Chief Medical Officer for the Detroit Market, with responsibility for system-wide quality improvement, patient safety, medical education, clinical research, medical staff affairs, governance, and regulatory affairs.Dr. White has a background in emergency preparedness and disaster communication. Prior to becoming CMO, she served as the Dayanandan Endowed Professor of Emergency Medicine and Pediatrics, and Chair of Emergency Medicine at Wayne State University. Other roles have included Medical Director of the Michigan Poison Control System, Program Director for DMC/WSU fellowship in medical toxicology, and founder of the first DMC/WSU EMS/Disaster Medicine fellowship. Dr. White was instrumental in achieving the DMC's Pioneer ACO designation and developed the care management strategy that has supported its early success. She is the Primary Investigator on a $10M CMS Health Care Innovation Award to develop a new model of primary care expansion in Detroit. She is the recipient of numerous other awards and honors including multiple HOUR Detroit Top Docs recognitions and the 2010 Wayne State University Distinguished Alumna Award. Most recently, she was among those listed by Becker's 2016 Hospital Review list of “100 Hospital and Health System CMOs to Know” for exhibiting dedication to clinical leadership and contributing to the establishment of excellence at their respective institutions. This is Dr. White’s second recognition from Becker’s. In 2014, she was named as one of the 500 People to Know in Healthcare and one of the Top 100 Hospital and Health System CMOs to Know. She earned her M.D. with high distinction from Wayne State University School of Medicine and MBA from The University of Tennessee. She completed a fellowship in Executive Leadership In Academic Medicine at Drexel University. Dr. White currently serves on the ACGME Residency Review Committee for Emergency Medicine, American Board of Emergency Medicine Advisory Committee, the American Board of Pharmacy Specialties, and is President of the American College of Medical Toxicology. She is a senior ABEM examiner.
Shawn Levitt, BSN, MHSA, RN, FACHE, CPHQ
Senior Vice-President, Chief Nursing Officer
was named the system's new Senior Vice-President, Chief Nursing Officer, in January 2012, a position that will allow her to continue the leadership and service she has brought to DMC over many years. With nearly 25 years in the healthcare industry, Levitt will help drive the next level of nursing service and development at DMC. Prior to this position, Levitt was Chief Operating Officer at DMC Children's Hospital of Michigan for four years. Previously, she was DMC's corporate director of medical and academic affairs and was instrumental in the successful system-wide launch of the DMC's Electronic Medical Record initiative. She was also responsible for oversight of the state-funded Children's Choice of Michigan program for special needs children. Levitt earned a bachelor's degree in nursing from Wayne State University, and a master's degree in health services administration from Central Michigan University. She is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, the Michigan Healthcare Executive Group and Associates, Inforum, and is certified in health care quality and managed care nursing.
Senior Vice President, Chief Human Resources OfficerDeloris Hunt
is Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer for the DMC and is responsible for the overall direction of human resources including HR policies, workforce planning and recruitment, compensation and benefits, HR information systems, labor and employee relations and training and leadership development. Hunt has over 30 years of experience in healthcare and prior to joining the DMC in 2005, she was employed at Saint Joseph Mercy Health System, Ann Arbor, Michigan a part of the Trinity System as system director of HR for six years; and she also spent 19 years at Henry Ford Health System holding various positions in human resources. Hunt earned a master’s degree in general administration from Central Michigan University, and a bachelor’s degree in business administration, general management from Wayne State University.
