Doulas, selected independently by expectant mothers as community healthcare providers, are wholeheartedly welcomed by the DMC as valuable members of the patient care team.
Doulas contribute significantly to informational support during labor, delivery, and postpartum care. The integration of doula services at the Detroit Medical Center ensures that mothers receive care, guidance, and support, fostering healthier outcomes for both mothers and babies.
