Adapted Sports Program
Are you interested in participating in an adapted sports program? Would you like to maintain a healthy, active lifestyle through fitness? Maybe you’re looking to make new friends, socialize or just have fun! Then join the Reimagine Life Foundation’s (RLF) adaptive sports program. We've partnered with RLF to provide competitive and recreational sporting opportunities for persons with disabilities.
Our adaptive sports include:
- Wheelchair Basketball
- Pickleball
- Swimming
- Fitness Training
- Bowling
- Dance
- Hand cycling clinics
- Waterskiing
- Kayaking
- Snow skiing
- Wheelchair tennis clinics
- Weightlifting clinics
Rehabilitation Institute of Michigan’s Certified Therapeutic Recreational Specialists (CTRS) assist with the formation of teams, clinics, training, and equipment adaptations.
The adaptive sports program is open to children and adults throughout Metro Detroit with disabling or chronic conditions including spinal cord injury, brain injury, amputation, stroke, spina bifida, multiple sclerosis and muscular dystrophy.
