Most traditional methods used to test the liver involve invasive techniques to get a diagnosis. Liver biopsies are one of the most utilized methods. While biopsies are effective, they can be painful and require sedation. FibroScan measures fibrosis and steatosis in your liver with its patented ultrasound technology called Vibration Controlled Transient Elastrography (VCTE technology).
There are many advantages associated with using FibroScan’s non-invasive VCTE technology opposed to using traditional methods.
