Dr. Vishal Bhatia was appointed DMC Group Chief Medical Officer in 2025.

Dr. Bhatia is board certified in internal medicine and has been with DMC since March 2023. He is an engaged and proactive physician, dedicated to serving the DMC community. Prior to his appointment as Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Bhatia served as the DMC Designated Institutional Officer for the DMC Clinical and Translational Research Office, where he provided oversight for ongoing research at DMC facilities, including 200 new research studies in 2023.

He has also served as a key leader in improving key organizational performance metrics to improve clinical experiences, reorganizing hospital-based medical model coverage and obtaining key organizational metrics and survey readiness, which involved implementing infection control protocols and creating quality dashboards for better visibility and transparency.

Bhatia is a graduate of Tver State Medical Academy in Tver, Russia and Saratov State Medical University in Saratov, Russia. He completed his internal medicine residency at The University of Tennessee in Chattanooga, TN and earned his MBA with an emphasis in healthcare from George Washington University in Washington, D.C.
