One of Dr. Kakos’ desires after becoming a physician is ensuring that he becomes intertwined within the community in which he practices. He believes building trust and lasting relationships are paramount in achieving that goal. Dr. Kakos’ patients are fully involved in their care and are aware of all treatment options so they can choose the best plan to fit their lifestyle.
Born and raised in the Metro Detroit area, Dr. Kakos was excited to return home and care for the Detroit community. Integrating his love of sports with his passion for medicine, made a career in sports medicine feel like a natural fit. When Dr. Kakos is not serving his community through medicine, he enjoys running, tennis, and spending time with his family.

Dr Kakos always understand. Not just that he stops to hear you, listen to your concerns and provides a plan of action how he plans to move forward with your care to give you peace of mind. He also offers suggestions to try before having to move with more invasive procedures. He goes that extra mile to provide care and helps you not to be fearful of the procedure being performed by explaining everything he's going to do & doing during the procedure. That helped me a lot to breathe and focus!

Dr Kakos is absoluetly amazing. I took my son for his shoulder but bis attentiveness to my son had mylrle bring my son back 3 other times for a existing condition. He his one of the best doctors I have met and I have been a nurse for 24 years and have met and worked with many doctors but dr kakos is outstanding. Dr. Kakos really cares. Not only that he listens, hear, address, assess and provide a solution based off everything he's heard, found through testing to provide a journey to your healing process. That's what I like about Dr Kakos! He's not just there for the paycheck but because he really cares for his patients. Henry doesn't allow you to set yourself up for failure but offer plan of actions for your healthy journey to become conscious of your healthy goals it will take to get your health life back on the right track again.
