Victor Jordan
Chief Financial Officer
Victor Jordan was named Chief Financial Officer of Detroit Medical Center in January 2013. Jordan came from Vanguard Health Systems New England region, where he served as CFO. Upon joining Vanguard in 2001 as Regional CFO of the Orange County Market, Jordan was responsible for the financial oversight of three hospitals and two surgery centers including Revenue Cycle Operations. He was responsible for oversight and negotiation of several managed-care full risk contracts and worked closely with hospital leadership improving financial operations and results. From 2005 to 2012, he was the CFO of Vanguard's New England market, where he was accountable for financial oversight and direction of the $600 million revenue system. Working with market President, Joe Mullany, his leadership was instrumental in achieving 100% of balanced scorecard incentive metrics in all seven years. Jordan contributed to this effort by leading managed care contracting negotiations with area payers, overseeing revenue cycle initiatives in the areas of clinical documentation improvement and initiating second level review programs for medical necessity. From 2007 to 2011, Jordan was given additional responsibility for CFO oversight of Vanguard's Chicago market which included assimilating two hospitals acquired in 2010. Prior to joining Vanguard Health Systems, Jordan was Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Methodist Network Hospitals, Houston, TX from 1999 to 2001, where he was responsible for the financial operations of two Methodist suburban hospitals and involved in planning and development of new area hospitals. From 1997 to 1999, Jordan served as CFO of Houston Northwest Medical Center. Jordan earned B.S. and M.B.A degrees from the University of California.
