Central Campus Parking & Shuttle Service

DMC Police Authority works closely with PETD to help keep DMC Campuses among the safest places to work and visit in the metropolitan area. These officers not only patrol the campus they provide excellent customer service in assisting patients, visitors and employees. In the event of an emergency, DMC Security can be reached by dialing 111 from any DMC phone.

 

 

Parking rates are as follows:

Central Campus

  • for patients and patient visitors with validation (available inside the hospital).
  • valet-parkingSelf-Park - $8
  • for 1st 4hrs / $15 Max
  • Valet Park - $10 ($5 for Handicap w/State Issued Plate/Hang Tag)

 

 

 

 

50% discount for valet parking to those with handicapped placard/license plate.

Shuttle Services

The DMC provides fast and convenient shuttle service 24 hours a day Monday - Friday for patients, visitors and employees. DMC Shuttle buses are clean, comfortable and heated/air-conditioned. There are three types of shuttle vehicles providing service to the Central Campus:

  • Standard 24 passenger bus
  • American Disability Act (ADA) wheelchair equipped bus
  • 10-passenger van
Shuttles travel along defined routes, with dedicated stops designed to promote efficient and time-saving travel across the DMC campus.

DMC partners in the Midtown area to provide transportation for patients, residents and medical professionals between Detroit Medical Center central campus locations and other midtown anchor locations, such as Wayne State University.

After Hours Van Service is available by calling 313-745-8700. Orchestra Place (OP) employees will continue to use this number for transportation from OP to Central Campus locations. If you have safety concerns, please contact DMC police Authority at 313-745-3325, to request an escort.
