DMC Sinai-Grace Named Most Racially Inclusive Hospital in State

Jun 2, 2021

The Lown Institute, a nonpartisan healthcare think tank, has named DMC Sinai-Grace Hospital as the most racially inclusive hospital in Michigan.

The DMC is committed to creating a diverse, inclusive and equitable workplace for everyone. We are dedicated to being inclusive in our practices, treatment and commitment to all people, while serving our mission to provide compassionate, quality care.

The Lown Institute’s rankings examines racial inclusivity of more than 3,200 U.S. hospitals to assess which are best at serving the people of color in their communities. To create the rankings, the Institute assessed how well the demographics of a hospital’s Medicare patients matched the demographics of the hospital’s surrounding communities, as well as the U.S. Census Bureau's American Community Survey five-year data from 2018.
