Educational Curriculum

The 12-month block based didactic curriculum integrates basic sciences with PM&R topics to provide a broad knowledge base. Didactics occur on Wednesday mornings from 8 a.m.-noon and are protected educational time.

  • Unique Educational Opportunities
    • Anatomy course and cadaver lab
      • 10-week review course which involves cadaver dissection in the Wayne State Anatomy lab.
    • EMG course
      • 8-week introductory course to the fundamentals of electromyography/nerve conduction study (EMG/NCS) theory, clinical application and practical use. This course alternates yearly with the Anatomy course and lab.
    • Ultrasound
      • Lecture and workshop series covering musculoskeletal ultrasound. Integrated into didactics.
