Individuals applying for any of our programs must hold an appropriate degree for the program to which they apply. If you hold a foreign medical degree, a valid certificate from the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) is also required. In addition to these institutional requirements, each program has specific eligibility requirements that must be satisfied.

Although most program applications are made through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS), some programs accept applications directly, or through the San Francisco Match. Check individual programs for specific application guidelines.
