Dr. Insaf Mohammad is native to Detroit, Michigan where she attained her undergraduate and Doctor of Pharmacy education at Wayne State University. She was a PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice Resident at Harper University Hospital, where she was devoted to the implementation of a care coordination and transitions of care program to improve safety among patients with acute venous thromboembolism. As a PGY-2 Ambulatory Care Pharmacy Resident, her research will explore the outcomes of chronic care management in primary care practice, and she also plans on honing in on her interest in pharmacy education and academia. She looks forward to continuing at the Detroit Medical Center this year, as she hopes to prepare for a future in academia and as an ambulatory care pharmacy specialist. Her areas of practice interest include pulmonary disease, diabetes, and hypertension management in primary care practice. Her passions include pharmacy advocacy and advancement, which she exercises through her commitment as President of the Wayne County Pharmacists Association. Outside of her professional life, she enjoys yoga and reading when she is not spending time with her loved ones. She is grateful for her family, friends, and mentors for continually inspiring and motivating her throughout her career.

Dr. Joseph Johnson is originally from Shelby Township, Michigan. He completed his undergraduate studies and earned his Doctorate of Pharmacy from the University of Michigan in April 2015. Joseph went on to complete his PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo, Michigan where he began to realize his passion for the critical care field. After completion of his PGY-2 Critical Care residency, Joseph would like to obtain board certification and secure a critical care specialist position at an academic medical center. He is a sports enthusiast and has long been a loyal fan of the Michigan Wolverines (Go Blue!) and Detroit professional teams, even the Lions. Joseph also enjoys playing hockey and exploring new restaurants and breweries. He loves to travel when he can find time for it and hopes to see the world one day. Joseph would like to thank his family, friends, and mentors for all of their guidance and support.

Dr. Wolf comes from Grand Rapids, Michigan and received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Ferris State University (Go Bulldogs!). She completed her PGY-1 residency at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City, Michigan. Dr. Wolf's practice interests include advanced cardiac life support/cardiology, infectious diseases and stewardship, sedation, and pain management. Her short term goals include obtaining board certification and obtaining an Emergency Medicine Clinical Specialist position at an academic medical center where she can serve as a preceptor and mentor for future pharmacy students and residents. Outside of pharmacy, she enjoys strength training and cardio, reading, spending time with family and friends, warm weather, and hopes to soon adopt a German Shepherd. Dr. Wolf would like to thank her parents and brother for their endless love and support. She would also like to thank her previous Ferris State and Munson Medical Center preceptors and mentors for helping her reach this point in her professional career.

Dr. Janet Wu is originally from Columbus, Ohio and earned both her Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences degree in 2011 and her Doctor of Pharmacy in 2015 from the Ohio State University. She subsequently completed her PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. Her practice and research interests include the implementation and optimization of antimicrobial stewardship programs and the management of patients with multidrug resistant organisms. After completion of her PGY-2, Dr. Wu plans on obtaining a position as an infectious diseases clinical pharmacy specialist at an academic medical center. Eventually, she hopes to engage in anti-infective research and serve as a preceptor for student pharmacists and pharmacy residents. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants, listening to live music, and spending time with family, friends, and her dog. She wishes to thank her family, friends, and professional mentors for their continuous encouragement and support.

Dr. Sean McConachie was born and raised in Troy, Michigan. He completed his undergraduate coursework at Michigan State University, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Diagnostic Molecular Science. He went on to complete his graduate training at Wayne State University where he received his Doctorate in Pharmacy degree in 2015. Upon graduation, Sean moved to Georgia to complete a PGY1 residency at DeKalb Medical Center before returning to metro Detroit as the PGY2 Pharmacotherapy Resident at Harper Hospital. Dr. McConachie’s professional interests are broad and include internal medicine, critical care, and cardiology. In terms of research, he will be continuing an ongoing Detroit Medical Center project to reduce patient readmissions using a novel clinical readmission risk calculator. Outside of pharmacy, Sean’s personal interests include running, hiking, reading, and relaxing with family and friends. After completion of the PGY2 year, he hopes to practice as a clinical specialist in a hospital setting. Sean would like to thank his family, friends, and everyone else who has contributed to his personal and professional success.

Dr. Jennifer Chou is originally from Rochester Hills, MI. She attended the University of Michigan for her undergraduate studies and also received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Michigan College of Pharmacy. Her clinical interests include infectious diseases and hematology/oncology. Upon completion of her PGY1 residency, Jennifer hopes to pursue a PGY2 residency in one of her interest areas. Her long term goal is to obtain a position as a clinical pharmacist at an academic medical center and to precept student pharmacists. Outside of pharmacy, Jennifer enjoys eating too much, cooking for herself and others, exploring new restaurants, yoga, and hiking, visiting national parks, and seeing wildlife for every family vacation. Jennifer would like to thank her family, friends, and mentors for their constant guidance and support.

Dr. Laura Cwengros grew up in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She completed both her Bachelors of Science in Biology and Doctorate of Pharmacy from the University of Michigan. Her clinical interests include infectious diseases, HIV, and ambulatory care. She hopes to pursue a PGY-2 residency upon completion of her PGY-1 pharmacy practice residency in one of these interest areas. Her long-term goal is to obtain a clinical pharmacist position, precept students, and volunteer her services in missionary work. In her free time, Laura enjoys cooking, biking, hiking, and traveling. Dr. Rana Fayad grew up in Lebanon and moved to Michigan in 2008 after which she completed her undergraduate studies and Doctor of Pharmacy degree at Wayne State University. Her clinical interests include pediatrics, infectious diseases, and cardiology. Upon completing a PGY1 at CHM, she hopes to develop into a well-rounded pharmacist with the skills and abilities to take an active role in optimizing patient care in the pediatric population. Her long term goal is to obtain a clinical pharmacist position at an academic medical center where she can precept and mentor future pharmacists. In her spare time, she enjoys Zumba, shopping, and spending time with her loved ones. Dr. Fayad is forever grateful for God, her family, and friends for their endless support and continued encouragement.

Her professional interests include internal medicine and cardiology, and she hopes to pursue a PGY-2 residency in one of these practice areas. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with her husband Sam and their dogs Buddy and Linus. Dr. Whitney Gibson grew up in Greensboro, NC and completed her Bachelor of Science in Psychology at the University of North Carolina – Charlotte. In 2016, she received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Wingate University. After successful completion of her PGY1 residency, Whitney hopes to pursue a PGY2 residency specializing in infectious diseases. Her hobbies include traveling, reading, painting, cooking, and exploring new restaurants. She is a huge Carolina Panthers fan. Dr. Gibson would like to extend her eternal gratitude to her friends and family who have provided endless love and support.

Dr. Claudia Hanni grew up in West Bloomfield, Michigan. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from the University of Detroit Mercy. In May 2016, Dr. Hanni received her Doctorate of Pharmacy degree at Wayne State University. Her professional interests include internal medicine, cardiology, ambulatory care, and academia. Upon completion of her residency, she hopes to obtain a PGY-2 in one of her areas of interest. Her long-term goal is to practice as a clinical specialist at a teaching institution where she can precept pharmacy students and be involved in research. During her spare time, Claudia loves to be in the kitchen baking or cooking, and enjoys spending time with family and friends. Dr. Alison Lobkovich was born and raised in Woodhaven, MI. She completed her undergraduate studies and obtained her Doctorate of Pharmacy at Wayne State University. Her clinical interests include ambulatory care and critical care. Alison also has a professional interest in global health. Upon completion of her PGY-1 pharmacy practice residency, Alison hopes to pursue a PGY-2 in one of her interest fields. Her long-term goal is to become a shared clinical associate professor and clinical specialist within an academic institution. She has a strong interest in interprofessional education and would like to further advance its integration into the pharmacy curriculum by conducting research that would demonstrate the clinical and educational impact of interprofessional team based care. In her spare time, Alison enjoys listening to music, playing basketball, watching movies, and reading. Alison would first like to thank God for his many blessings. Dr. Karim Mouabbi is from Dearborn, MI and earned his Doctorate of Pharmacy degree from Wayne State University. His clinical interests include critical care, infectious disease, and cardiology. Upon completion of his PGY1 Pharmacy Practice residency, Dr. Mouabbi hopes to pursue a PGY2 residency in one of his interest areas and his long-term goal is to obtain a clinical pharmacist position. Karim really enjoyed teaching and mentoring pharmacy students throughout pharmacy school. In his spare time, he enjoys playing sports; mainly basketball and soccer, watching movies, and spending time with friends and family. Karim would like to thank his family, friends, mentors, and preceptors for their unwavering support, he wouldn’t have been the person he is today without them.

Dr. Paulina Reizian grew up in Novi, Michigan and completed her undergraduate studies at Michigan State University in the Lyman Briggs College with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. In 2016, she received her Doctorate of Pharmacy degree from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. Her professional interests include pediatrics, infectious diseases, and critical care. Her long term career goals are to gain a PGY-2 residency and subsequently, obtain a pediatric clinical specialist position at a Children’s Hospital that offers involvement in pediatric research, as well as precepting and teaching opportunities. In her spare time, Paulina enjoys high-adrenaline activities, exploring the outdoors, reading, painting/coloring, and spending time with loved ones. She wishes to thank her family, friends, and remarkable mentors for their continuous motivation and support along the way.

Dr. Salem was born in Kuwait and moved to the US with his family when he was about one year old. Growing up in Troy, Michigan, he completed his undergrad at Wayne State University and obtained his Doctor of Pharmacy degree at Wingate University School of Pharmacy in Wingate, NC. Dr. Salem's professional interests include infectious diseases, solid organ transplant, and internal medicine. He hopes to purse a PGY2 specialty residency in infectious diseases after completion of his PGY1. Long term, he would like to practice as a clinical specialist at an academic medical center, teach at a College of Pharmacy, and precept P4 students and pharmacy residents. His research interests are in the area of infectious diseases. Outside of pharmacy, he enjoys traveling, watching movies, and spending time with his family and fiancé. Dr. Salem would like to thank his family and fiancé for all of their love and support for without them he would not have gotten to where he is today.

Dr. Rachel Wein is originally from Bloomfield Township, Michigan. She completed her undergraduate studies and received her Doctorate of Pharmacy degree from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. Her professional interests include emergency medicine and critical care. Upon completion of her PGY-1 pharmacy practice residency, Rachel hopes to obtain PGY-2 residency specializing in emergency medicine. In the future, she would like to become a clinical specialist at an academic medical center and to serve as a preceptor to both pharmacy students and residents. As a previous member of the Michigan Marching Band, Rachel is an avid wolverines fan. Go Blue! In her spare time, she enjoys CrossFit, listening to her favorite band; Gun’s n’ Roses, and reading as much as possible.
