Chief Executive Officer, DMC Huron Valley-Sinai Hospital

David McEwen was named chief executive officer of DMC Huron Valley-Sinai Hospital in March 2020. Mr. McEwen comes to the DMC from Mercy Health Saint Mary’s in Grand Rapids, MI where he served as chief operating officer, and brings to the DMC more than 25 years of executive healthcare leadership as CEO and COO in both urban and rural hospitals.

Outside of his professional role Mr. McEwen demonstrates a strong commitment to the communities in which he works and lives. He has volunteered his time and expertise serving in various capacities as a committee member of the Michigan Health and Hospital Association, trustee and chairman of various art and education organizations and was heavily involved in area chambers of commerce.

Board Certified in Healthcare Administration from the American College of Healthcare Executives, Mr. McEwen obtained his master’s of healthcare administration degree from Loma Linda University in Loma Linda, CA and his bachelor’s degree in healthcare management from Central Michigan University, in Mt. Pleasant, MI.
