February 14, 2013- Sinai-Grace appoints new security director
DETROIT – DMC Sinai-Grace Hospital has appointed Raphael Marroquin as its new Director of Security Services.
Marroquin worked for the Ann Arbor Police Department (AAPD) for 25 years, where he most recently severed as lieutenant and shift commander. He has also served as commander of the K-9 Unit, commander of the Hostage Negotiation Unit and commander of the Field Training Officers. Marroquin served as a sergeant of both the Special Investigation Unit and the Michigan State Police Livingston and Washtenaw Narcotics Enforcement Team. In 2005, he was named Officer of the Year.
Along with his extensive career with the AAPD, Marroquin spent four years with the Detroit Police Department and several years doing private industry special investigations work.
He received a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Wayne State University and a master’s degree in public administration from Eastern Michigan University.
