Simple everyday choices may help to reduce the risk of colorectal cancer.

• Exercise daily if possible
• Don’t smoke
• Maintain a healthy weight. Physically active adults are half as likely to develop colon cancer
• Limit your alcohol intake
• Cut down on red meat
• Check to see if you have a family history of colon, rectum, breast or other cancers
• Ask your doctor about preventative testing.
