Receiving the gift of life

Not long ago, patients with failing organs had little hope of resuming an active lifestyle. Today, that has changed. Thanks to the sophisticated and life saving techniques available through Harper University Hospital Organ Transplant Center, transplant patients are enjoying the "gift of life."

The Harper University Hospital Organ Transplant Program has developed a reputation for excellence in kidney and pancreas transplantation. The transplant team recognizes the complex needs of transplant donors and recipients, both before and after surgery and is recognized for their medical expertise as well as their caring manner.

The Harper University Hospital organ transplant program offers kidney living and deceased donor transplantation as well as three types of pancreas transplant: Simultaneous Pancreas / Kidney transplant (SPK), Pancreas After and Pancreas Transplant Alone, or PTA. Additionally, the Center's new Transplant Surgery Center is a central resource for all transplant-related issues.
