DMC Hutzel Women's Hospital is a world-class hospital dedicated to the unique
health care needs of women, located within the central campus of the Detroit
Medical Center.
DMC Hutzel Women's Hospital occupys 170,000 square feet on three floors
within the Harper University Hospital complex. The patient care areas have been
enhanced. The private Labor/Delivery/Recovery rooms have high-tech equipment to
handle each birth in a home-like atmosphere. Surgical rooms designed for
cesarean sections are located in close proximity to the Neonatal Intensive Care
rooms. Overnight Care Suites are designed for moms to learn how to care for
special needs babies. This is the only hospital in the state exclusively
dedicated to the health needs of women and their infants.
Philanthropic dollars have helped DMC Hutzel Women's Hospital preserve vital
research programs, develop medical technology and provide outstanding
compassionate patient care.
