Childbirth Education Class

Class is taught by a certified nurse midwife or certified labor/delivery nurse. Class will cover anatomy and physiology of pregnancy, what to expect in labor, stages of labor, exercises and breathing techniques, medications and equipment, non-medical comfort techniques, your labor champion, and procedures that may happen during labor. Wear comfortable clothing. Please bring a bag lunch or plan to use our on-site restaurants. Be prepared to arrive on time and attend the complete 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. session to receive the maximum benefit from the class.

Registration is required. Walk-ins will not be accepted. Only enroll the mother to be. Mothers may bring a support person. Class sizes are limited so please register early.

In the main driveway, make an immediate right into the parking garage, which is marked with a large "E". We recommend parking on levels 2, 3, or 4 and take the elevator to Level 1. You may also valet park for $12 ($5 for handicapped with state issued plate/hang tag).

Please arrive 10 minutes early to allow time for parking and walking. Enter through the Harper main lobby and check in at the Information Desk.
