Following the sale of Detroit Medical Center to Vanguard Health Systems in 2011, the Health & Wellness Foundation of Greater Detroit was established to support medical research, education and community benefit initiatives in the DMC and southeast Michigan.
The Foundation’s goal is to nurture the DMC’s philanthropic legacy, while reaching out to a community affected by some of the nation’s highest rates of preventable disease.
