Detroit Medical Center offers adult cancer treatment at two facilities: DMC Sinai-Grace Hospital in Detroit and DMC Huron Valley-Sinai Hospital in Commerce. Additionally, the physicians of the Karmanos Cancer Institute utilize DMC’s midtown campus for surgery and other treatments. DMC Sinai-Grace Cancer Services
New and improved chemotherapy options and radiation therapy make cancer treatment more effective and reduce unpleasant side effects.
The oncologists at DMC Sinai-Grace Hospital have the knowledge and experience to treat most adult cancers, along with providing the compassionate care to help patients and families cope with the diagnosis. Sinai-Grace Hospital provides comprehensive, high quality cancer screening, diagnosis and treatment for adult cancers.
Our cancer team is comprised of physicians, radiation therapists, dosimetrists and nurses who have extensive experience in cancer care as well as specialized oncology training. Their sensitivity, kindness and dedication help patients and their families cope with cancer.
Chemotherapy, radiation therapy and surgery are all available at Sinai-Grace. In addition, specialized services for breast and prostate cancer are offered through our Breast Care Center and DMC SGH Urology.
We have social work and pastoral care departments to help cancer patients and their families during treatment. Counseling, educational materials and information about home care are also available. In the next few months, we'll be launching additional services including an on-site dietician, pet therapy, music therapy, art therapy, massage, tai chi and yoga.

The Sinai-Grace Cancer Center is located on the hospital campus in a freestanding building with free parking for patients. A cheerful, sunlit waiting room provides a warm, comfortable setting for patients and their companions. Complimentary snacks and coffee also are available to make the stay more comfortable. DMC Sinai-Grace will provide transportation for qualified patients.

DMC Huron Valley-Sinai Hospital Cancer Services
The Cancer Care program at DMC Huron Valley-Sinai Hospital was developed to provide comprehensive state-of-the-art cancer prevention, diagnosis and treatment in Oakland County. Instead of traveling long distances to see cancer experts, patients now have the opportunity to be treated by specialists close to home, and with the resources of one of the country's top cancer institutes.

Comprehensive Breast Services - DMC-Huron Valley Sinai Hospital provides caring and effective preventative and diagnostic cancer services, accredited by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC), which is administered by the American College of Surgeons. We offer mammography, ultrasound, sterotactic breast biopsy, bone density, MRI and nuclear medicine procedures. All mammography films are reviewed by two radiologists, thus it is giving everyone a second opinion automatically. We offer early morning, evening and some Saturday appointments.
Infusion Center - The Infusion Center at the Charach Cancer Treatment Center provides patients the opportunity to be treated for a wide variety of medical conditions on an outpatient basis. Among the medical specialties that refer patients to the Infusion Center are: Hematology, Medical Oncology, Gastroenterology, Infectious Diseases, General Internal Medicine, Neurology and Rheumatology.
Radiation Therapy - Our advanced treatments include Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT), which allows radiation amounts to be adjusted during treatment to spare close-by normal tissue and permits increased doses of radiation to the tumor. Multi-Leaf Collimator (MLC) allows metal "fingers", controlled by a computer, to filter beams of radiation in a precise pattern for the most effective results.
Support Services - We understand the unique needs of cancer patients and offer a full range of programs to assist them. Individual and family counseling resources and support groups for family and friends are provided by a trained Oncology Social Worker.
Patient Education and Resources - Comprehensive resources including brochures, resource books, videos as well as patient and caregiver classes.
