Working with physicians and specialists throughout the Detroit Medical Center, the DMC Occupational Health Services team provides the highest level of medical care for each patient, and a full range of occupational health services for each client.
Our team is led by our DMC Occupational Health Services Corporate Medical Director, Mark Upfal, MD. Board certified in Occupational Medicine, Dr. Upfal is internationally recognized as an expert in Occupational and Environmental Medicine, as well as in the field of drug testing. Listed four times as one of Detroit’s top physicians, he brings an unparalleled level of expertise to the DMC Occupational Health Services team. Dr. Upfal has served on the board of directors of the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine (ACOEM) and president of the Michigan Occupational and Environmental Medicine Association (MOEMA). Prior to his training as a physician, Dr. Upfal worked in industry as an industrial hygienist and safety engineer.
DMC Occupational Health Services Fast Track Emergency/After Hours Injury Care
Occupational health Services Fast Track service provides excellent and expeditious care around-the-clock at DMC Detroit Receiving Hospital's Emergency Department (ED).
Detroit Receiving’s ED is the leading Southeast Michigan Level I Trauma center, staffed and equipped to handle all levels of job-related injuries. Detroit Receiving offers access to Detroit’s leading specialists making DMC Occupational Health Services the team to handle any occupational health emergency. Patients cared for after hours in the Fast Track clinic are assured timely follow-up care by DMC Occupational Health Services.

DMC Occupational Health Services basic clinical services are available from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. Walk-ins welcome between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. 24/7/365 coverage through our Emergency Department Fast Track. Consultations performed by arrangement.
