The NEW Heart of Detroit can be found in Midtown...Tuesday, January 17th, 2012, the Detroit Medical Center (DMC) held a ceremonial groundbreaking event for our new DMC Heart Hospital, opening in Detroit for 2014. Its opening will mark the first heart hospital to operate in the state of Michigan. Visit our site here for more details: www.dmc.org/newheartofdetroit

The Detroit Medical Center has contributed to the growth of Michigan's filming industry and now the radio industry wants a piece of the pie.
Last month, members of the DMC Social Media Team were invited to WDET 101.9 FM Detroit Pubic Radio for a special behind-the-scenes look a program called "Michigan on Film."
Michigan on Film is hosted by DMC's own Emery King. Emery's co-host on this broadcast is Jim Burnstein, chairman and vice-chairman of the Michigan Film Office Advisory Council (MFOAC).
The monthly radio show airs each first Friday of the month at 11:00 AM. This 30-minute program serves as a forum for individuals, businesses and organizations involved in Michigan's growing film industry.
This video is a brief infroduction of our behind-the-scenes visit.

The DMC Social Media Team would like to thank everyone who has followed along in their "adventures in social media" in 2010. To celebrate this, the DMC Blog is featuring some of the best videos that they had put together in the past year for everyone to view again. From dancing fun with "Monday Morning Hustle" to the very insprining journeys of a trio of young people at our DMC Rehabilitation Institute with the "RIM/Mike Utley Scholars" video diary series, there are a lot of great videos to watch once again.
