DMC wound care is dedicated to and focused on the treatment of patients with chronic wounds resulting from a variety of causes, including diabetes and vascular disease. The center offers a unique integrated approach with medical, surgical and vascular options depending on each unique case.
Why Wound Care?
While most wounds heal quickly, there are specific types of wounds that cause severe problems if left untreated. Current studies show that nearly five million Americans suffer with chronic wounds that don’t heal or fail to improve within four weeks. Three main factors for non-healing wounds include: diabetes, poor circulation and limited mobility.
DMC Wound Care treats all non-healing wounds, including:
- Diabetic ulcers
- Pressure ulcers
- Collagen vascular disease
- Traumatic wounds
- Venous stasis ulcers
- Ischemic Wounds
- Surgical Wounds
- Other chronic, non-healing ulcers
- Radiation tissue damage
- Necrotizing soft tissue infection
- Osteomyelitis
